Privacy
Sofra Studio makes small apps, and this page covers all of them. The first part applies to every app, and each app then has its own section saying exactly what it keeps, so you can read the part that matters to you and leave the rest.
We keep as little as we can, we don't sell anything about you, and none of our apps carry ads or trackers.
Our websites, including The Cards when you use it in a browser, count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, doesn't follow you from site to site, and tells us only how many people came, to which pages and from where. Apps installed on your phone don't count visits at all.
Your Sofra account
Some of our apps let you make an account so your things follow you between devices. If you sign up with an email, we keep that email and a scrambled version of your password, never the password itself. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we keep the identifier they give us and the email they share, which with Apple can be a private relay address that keeps your real one hidden from us.
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. That erases your account and everything stored with it straight away, and if you signed in with Apple, it also tells Apple to cut the link between your Apple Account and our app.
Where it's kept
What an app stores with your account lives on Cloudflare, which runs the servers our apps talk to. Some apps send part of what you write to a service like Anthropic to do their work, and each app's section says exactly what goes and why. Cloudflare and Anthropic may hold data outside Australia, Anthropic in the United States, and we only use services that protect it the way this page says we do.
You can ask to see what we hold about you, or have it corrected, and we'll answer within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first, and if we haven't put it right, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Talking to us
Write to hello@sofra.studio about anything on this page, or to the address in an app's own section. Sofra Studio Pty Ltd, ABN 59 700 140 012.
The Cards
If you use The Cards without an account, nothing leaves your phone.
With an account, your journal is kept with it: the date, the spread, each card and which way up it fell, your question, the reading and any reflection you add. You stay signed in for up to 30 days at a time. The name you give in settings never leaves your phone.
When you ask for a reading, the cards and your question go to Anthropic, which writes the reading, and nothing else about you goes with them. Anthropic doesn't use what we send to train its models, and it deletes it within 30 days, unless its safety systems flag it for misuse, in which case it can keep it for up to two years.
To stop the app being overused, we keep counters that can't be traced back to you, and they're cleared within two days.
The Cards is made for adults. For anything about The Cards, write to hello@thecards.app.
